Women on the Ascent is a free community for women who love the outdoors. All levels are welcome. Here is how to join your first meetup.

    Join the community

    Our Facebook group is where we share news, photos and new meetups.

    Sign the waiver

    Everyone signs it once before their first event. It takes two minutes.

  3. 3

    Find an event

    Pick a hike, run, ski or social on our Events page. RSVP in our Facebook group, and a few events also ask for a quick Google Form RSVP.

    Bring a friend

    Or come solo. We circle up for introductions with your name and a fun question of the day, keep a friendly pace, and no one gets left behind.

Welcome to Women on the Ascent

We're a community of women who get outside together along the Wasatch. Trail runs, hikes, uphill skis, and whatever adventure comes next. Since 2023, we've been building the kind of outdoor community we always wanted to find.

Community. We show up for each other. Our meetups are run by volunteer hosts, so there's almost always something on the calendar and a friendly face at the trailhead.

Inclusivity. Every pace, every background, every level of experience. Some of us are seasoned. Some of us are brand new. Nobody gets left behind.

Empowerment. We believe confidence grows outside. Come to your first meetup, find your people, and when you're ready, lead one yourself.
